Introducing OblinQ
OblinQ is a simple quick way to create your own personal online store. The difference is that you don't really expend your time & energy stocking and shipping items. But instead you simply put together a list of useful, cool, interesting products and services from anywhere in the world.
In other words, OblinQ is for the "expert" in us who, from time to time,
gets asked advice:
... where do you buy your clothes from?
... I like your shoes. Where do you get em?
... have you read any good book lately?
... What's a good PC or laptop to buy?
... What do I need to setup home network with streaming video?
... Back to school shopping ideas.
You get the point! With OblinQ, you can start recommending smartly and professionally. Even earn commissions on some of the product recommendations.
You have had an email account, even a blog and now you can start your own personal store. Just as easily!
We are excited to launch OblinQ. It's still an Alpha version. So while we tinker with the code and the colors, we appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

This is a great concept. Do you have marketing tools to help us advertise our store?
We do select stores to be featured on our home page based on number of store page views and sales transactions.
Additionally we will soon be introducing RSS feeds and widgets for MySpace and other social communities. The widget will allow you to take you store and publish at any of the social networking sites.
If you have any other specific ideas please inform us. We realize OblinQ will thrive only with the success of you store owners.

Will it be possible to have your own domain name without. the oblinq extension.
For now, we don't have that feature. It is on our road map.
However you may want try out our new Widgetize feature.
This is the new trend in Web 2.0. Widgetize will help you take your store to any site you wish e.g. your personal site, blogs or social networks.
The beauty of this feature is that you can benefit from rich features offered by blogs or your personal site and simply show case your store on the side. That way you continue driving traffic to your site/blog and don't have to worry about marketing your OblinQ store.
Also, your friends and families, can subscribe to your store widget and show case it on their blogs. It is totally viral.

You certainly can. But you must widgetize your store at OblinQ.
